Dawnex Corp., through its principal, has provided strategic IT consulting and management services to a broad range of municipal and federal public service clients, some examples of assignments include:

  • Service Ottawa Program, City of Ottawa – Directed the Service Ottawa Program (2011-12) Ottawa City Council established this $80 million dollar program to fundamentally transform how residents receive services from the City.   This transformation included a new 311 Communications Centre infrastructure and process transformation; a overhaul of the City’s website and the planing/implementation of transformations of citizen facing services.
  • Emergency and Protective Services (EPS), City of Ottawa – Dawnex prepared an analysis report on the viability of a Consolidated Communications Centre for City of Ottawa Emergency Services. Dawnex also developed a draft Consolidated IT Strategy (2010 – 2014) for EPS covering the City of Ottawa’s Emergency Services (Police Service, Paramedic Services, Fire Services and Office of Emergency Measures, Ottawa Corporate Security).
  • Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) – Dawnex provided technology advisory services to the Fire Chief on information technology renewal and enhancement of operations through the use of information technology. This included the development of OFS’s IT Strategic Plan (2009 – 2012) and the preparation of OFS’s Operations Technology Business Case, a multi-million dollar proposal to enhance OFS’s emergency service delivery.
  • Correctional Services Canada (CSC) – Dawnex prepared a business investment proposal for a National Operations Centre at CSC’s National Headquarters. The centre is to contain 24/7 IT support and systems monitoring, electronic monitoring, and emergency management and coordination. Dawnex also developed a Concept of Operations report for the proposed centre.
  • Ottawa Police Services (OPS) – Dawnex successfully managed a multi-million dollar ($25+ million) business transformation program, involving the complete IT infrastructure including OPS’s communication services.
